September 2012 Update: Once again, a huge thanks to everyone for their patience. Instead of throwing up a target launch date, I’ll simply say that development on the new Box Office Derby has hit several snags this year as myself and our programmer are constructing the game on our own free time and have run into a lot of other priorities. That being said, I’ll have some samples of the game to show — just to prove it IS in development! — before the end of this year. In the mean time, join the box office community over at the Boxoffice.com Forums!

July Update: Thank you all for your continued patience… over the last few months, I’ve been quite busy prepping the launch of the Forums over at Boxoffice.com. In short: our developer has run into some personal priorities recently which has forced to us slow down the development process somewhat.
Fear not: we are still actively developing the new “Derby” game and I hope to have an announcement about it within the coming weeks.

Original Report: I’m excited to let you know that Box Office Theory is now in active development on our new Box Office Derby game (official name pending)!
If you have any familiarity with user interface design, or simply would like to share your thoughts about how you’d like to see the new Derby game function in terms of appearance, I’d like for you to get in touch with me.
That includes all facets of the game: menus, graphics, colors, fonts, etc. Put yourself in the position of logging in to the game…what do you see? Where do you go next, to do whatever, and why?
We’re aiming to develop a new-yet-familiar vision for the game, and we feel that we have the potential to bring to life a version of the Derby that perhaps many players had been yearning for in recent years. Just how we sought your input (and still do!) for the forums, we want this new Derby experience to include as many of your suggestions as is realistically possible.
If you would like to share your thoughts, or perhaps donate to the site and help us reach our remaining goal, please e-mail me back at ShawnMR@BoxOfficeTheory.com and I will be in touch with you shortly thereafter.
And, as always, thank you for your incredible support!
Sincerely,
ShawnMR
